Compulsory heterosexuality prepares women for the derailment of their lives.
It makes mothers out of us before our first periods. It makes us caretakers and support systems, our worth relative to the services we provide males. It opens us up and offers our bodies, minds, labour, and selfhood to whatever male thinks it should belong to him. It delegitimizes and stigmatizes other ways of being a woman — being a woman without a man. It creates the impression that partnering with a male is just the way things are, the way things must be. These are lies, and moreover they are lies that destroy women and benefit men.
Living for women, fighting for women, and loving women is revolutionary. Doing these things for men is regressive to liberation.
